director of operations
Charles (Chuck) Simmons is a 13000-hour Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with 6 type-ratings in corporate aircraft. He started his aviation career over 35 years ago and in his words, it changed his career path and his life. “There is no other career I can imagine myself excelling in. I have travelled to a lot of very interesting places, met a lot of amazing people, and had some amazing experiences as a pilot. Aviation has been a mix of adventure, travel and challenge and I’ve loved every minute of it!”
Starting his career as a flight instructor, Chuck advanced to Chief Flight Instructor at the school where he taught. After helping 40-50 people achieve their private, commercial and ATP certificates and countless others to achieve instrument, multi-engine and flight instructor ratings Chuck moved into the world of air charter.
He started flying Part 135 in a Cessna 402B and 421B and a short stint in a King Air 200, before progressing to a position as First Officer in Lear Jets. Soon thereafter Chuck upgraded to Pilot in Command, then proficiency and line check airman and then Chief Pilot with 60 pilots under his supervision. During this time, he flew all over the world including Iceland, Scotland, France, and Italy in Europe and places like Maracaibo Venezuela, Cartagena, Colombia, San Jose, Costa Rica, Guatemala City, Toluca, and many other places in Mexico, Central and South America. He went on to fly Hawkers, Gulfstreams (G200, GII, GIII and G-IV) and is even type rated in the Boeing 737.
During his career he has held a wide variety of positions from first officer, pilot in command, instructor pilot, proficiency and line check airman, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and VP of Flight Operations. Now as he steps out of the cockpit and back into the office, he hopes to share his knowledge and experience with the operations team as they strive to provide best product and best customer experience to aircraft owners as well as our charter clients.
